Microsoft says certified headsets work plug and play with no extra set-up, and offer call control in Teams: answer and hang up, mute and volume. Headsets with the Premium Microphone for Open Office designation pick up the wearer's voice but not neighbours.
Microsoft warns that some vendors sell a certified model alongside a similarly named model for other apps, so check the exact model on Microsoft's list. For example, the Yealink BH70 appears on Microsoft's certified lists, and the list names specific Poly EncorePro variants.
